LES MISERABLES-SCHOOL EDITION-Synopsis

In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary,Marius,who has captured the heart of Valjean’s adopted daughter,Cosette.

Many more other characters with their own stories are met throughout the musical.Les Miserables-School Edition is one of the most popular musicals of all time.

ABOUT YOUTH THEATRE

Youth Theatre has been performing since 2015 after it was reopened.They have gone on to perform two shows a year,

more recently ‘Legally Blonde’, which was a huge success.

The company are part of NODA and recently won best youth musical for their production of Legally Blonde amongst other awards!

Youth theatre are delighted to be back in the theatre and are honoured to be granted the licensing for the wonderful musical “Les Miserables-School Edition”.

The students have worked tirelessly in rehearsals to get this production to stage.The talent in this youth theatre is exceptional and it’s hard to believe they are all under 18 years of age!
